Jennie (Ferro) Emm, who passed away peacefully at the age of 90 on January 17, 2025, in Bradenton, Florida, was surrounded by her beloved family. Renowned for her infectious sense of humor, Jennie embraced life with love and laughter, believing these were key to a long life. Born on December 23, 1934, in Cortland, New York, to Italian immigrants, she married her high school sweetheart, Joe Emm, in 1952. The couple shared an inseparable bond for 72 years, often found dancing or celebrating with family and friends.
Jennie's culinary talents shone during family gatherings, where her signature dishes were enjoyed by all. A devoted member of St. Francis of Assisi Church and Holy Cross Catholic Church, she proudly supported her community, co-founding the Chenango Forks Football Boosters. Jennie is survived by her husband Joseph, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many cherished relatives. A memorial service will be held on May 31, with a celebration of her life to follow, honoring her wish for a joyful farewell.
